TRAIL: Rated 1, Suitable for strollers, some difficulty for wheelchairs. Route is on city streets through downtown and a pleasant, creekside paved greenway on the way to the High Point Museum and Historical Park at the turn-around. An optional route, rated 1+, features more of the historical residential sections. Only one event credit is offered even if completing both routes.
HOW TO GET THERE:
From Winston-Salem I-40, take Exit 196. Follow BUS 311 (Main St.) Into downtown to Green St. Right on Green then left into parking lot behind the VC.
From north and east on I-85 follow the (new) I-85 bypass south to the High Point/BUS 85 exit 118. Follow BUS 85 and take the High Point/Downtown/311 exit. Follow BUS 311 north (Main St.) to Green St. Turn left on Green and left into parking lot behind the VC.
From the south on I-85 exit to US-52 north (exit 87) to BUS-85/US29/US70 to High Point. Exit High Point/Downtown/US311 and follow as above to start point.
