Year Round Events in the Mountain and Foothills Region of North Carolina

A walk on the horse trails of Moses Cone Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway.  The route starts at a picturesque lake, goes up the mountain to the Manor House, explores a nature trail, and wanders back down the mountain to the lake.

This walk starts in downtown Blowing Rock, goes through the Chetola Resort, and follows horse trails up a mountain in Moses Cone Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway.  It goes to a lake before returning to the start point.

A walk on a greenway along the side of a creek and a river.

A walk on the Blue Ridge Parkway.  This seasonal walk (May through October) is along the parkway, through open meadows and woods, and passes the historic Brinegar Cabin restoration.

A walk through a mill town.  It passes through the downtown, crosses the Yadkin River, and goes through residential areas and a park.

A walk through a city known for its furniture production.  The trail starts in the downtown and passes through historic and modern residential areas, visits a park, before returning to the start point.

Bass Lake is on both the Blowing Rock trails
