                       Year's Day, Christmas.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Early walkers can get trail maps from mailbox (with AVA logo) mounted in front of the museum. Visitor access to Post is now restricted to only certain designated entry points that are staffed on a 24/7 basis. Be prepared to show picture identification, and possibly vehicle registration and proof of insurance, and to submit to search of vehicle. You may also be asked your reason for entry, which is to visit the 82nd Airborne Museum. Also, please do not approach the museum or other buildings with large bags. Always carry photo ID while on Post.

TRAIL: Rated l+ Suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. On sidewalks, through post and residential area.  Route passes by the JFK Special Operations Museum and Iron Mike statue.

 

HOW TO GET THERE: From 1-95, take exit 56 from the north; or exit 40 from the south. (Both exits are BUS 1-95). Follow BUS 1-95 to Owen Dr.; right turn from north, left turn from south. Owen Dr. becomes Ail-American Freeway. Follow All-American Freeway to the post entry point.  (Read and heed “Important Information” paragraph above.)  When cleared thru the entry point move quickly to the right lane to exit onto Gruber Road. From ramp turn left on Gruber Rd to Reilly Rd. Right on Reilly to Ardennes Street, then left on Ardennes to the museum on the right.
